Heel pain

Heel pain

A healthy foot has strong muscles and ligaments, with the plantar fascia connecting the heel bone (calcaneus) to the ball of the foot, forming the main arch. This fibrous tissue supports the foot’s structure.

Plantar fasciitis occurs when the ligament is overstretched, causing small tears and pain. Heel spurs, calcium buildups on the heel bone, can press into the fat pad, causing intense pain with each step. The spurs compress surrounding soft tissue, making movement difficult.

Heel pain Causes

Walking irregularly, like rolling the feet inward.

    • Excess weight putting pressure on the feet.
    • Wearing poorly fitted shoes.
    • Standing, running, or jumping on hard surfaces.
    • Heel injuries, like stress fractures.
    • Inflammation of bursae (fluid-filled sacs that cushion joints and muscles).
    • Nerve enlargement (neuroma).
    • Certain conditions like diabetes and arthritis.

Heel pain Symptoms

  • Back pain can range from a muscle aching to a shooting, burning, or stabbing sensation.
  • Pain may radiate down your leg or worsen with bending, twisting, lifting, standing, or walking.

Treatment Process of Heel pain at SL Regrow Clinic

Treatment

We treat heel pain using focused shockwave therapy and advanced laser treatments. These therapies help alleviate pain, improve circulation, and stimulate tissue regeneration in the affected area.

Outcomes

Patients experience significant pain relief, improved mobility, and reduced inflammation in the heel. Over time, these treatments promote tissue healing and support long-term recovery from heel pain.
